Starting March 2027More than time away — a carefully designed space to reset, reconnect, and return with greater clarity.
What to Expect
A Sure Life retreat is designed to give you more than a break from routine.
Each experience creates space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and engage in carefully curated activities that support emotional, physical, and mental renewal.
The pace is intentional, the environment is supportive, and each element is selected to help you leave feeling clearer, more grounded, and restored.
❋ Psychology-Informed design
Each retreat is thoughtfully structured using psychological principles that support reflection, regulation, self-awareness, and meaningful personal growth.
❋ Curated Wellness Experiences
Your retreat may include therapies, movement, breathwork, body-based experiences, nature, journaling, and restorative practices selected around the purpose of the retreat.
❋ Space to Restore
Time is intentionally protected for rest, reflection, and simply being. You are not expected to be “on” all the time.
❋ Meaningful Connection
Whether joining individually, as part of a group, or through an organization, the retreat creates opportunities for genuine connection without pressure or forced participation.
Two Ways to Retreat
Bring your group — a corporate team, NGO, family, or circle of friends — on a Group Retreat tailored to your goals, with a shared itinerary like the example below. Or book an Individual Retreat, curated and paced entirely around you.
Individual Retreats — Reclamation Intensive, Curated to You
Every Reclamation Intensive begins the same way: we take time to understand what you actually need before anything is scheduled. From there, your days are shaped around your own pace, not a fixed programme.
A personal consultation to understand your goals before the retreat is built.
A curated therapy menu, chosen with you: somatic therapy, stretch/mobility & breathwork, massage therapy, therapeutic listening, and adventure or nature immersion.
A pace that’s yours — as much rest or activity as you need, sequenced around you rather than a shared clock.
Purposeful dining, handpicked to align with your retreat’s intent.
A package length (6, 10, or 14 days) scoped to the depth of work you’re doing.
While the Reclamation Intensive is based in Barbados, Sure Life Consultancy can also facilitate at other Caribbean destinations, depending on the curated package and logistics discussed with you. If you’re envisioning a different location, let us know when you enquire.
Reconnect with your body and mind as you escape the noise of everyday life.Tailored Group Retreats

4) 90-Day Roadmap for the Return Home

3) Balance Without Guilt — Boundaries That Hold
4) 90-Day Roadmap for the Return Home

2) Leading Relationships Without Losing Yourself
3) Rebuilding Trust After Life or Career Transitions
4) 90-Day Roadmap for the Return Home

While Group Retreats are proudly hosted in Barbados, select retreats can be arranged at other Caribbean destinations, depending on the curated package and logistics discussed with you. If you’re envisioning a different location for your group, let us know when you enquire.
The itinerary below is an example of how a Sure Life Group Retreat can unfold. While the overarching areas stay consistent (wellness practices, reflection, connection, and forward planning), the specific content, sessions, and pacing are tailored to suit each group’s goals, size, and needs.
-
As everyone arrives, we take time to settle in, get comfortable, and begin connecting with those around us. The journey starts here.

Reflection Circle · 11:00am
Lunch Break · 12:30pm

Integration Circle · 11:00am
Lunch Break · 12:30pm
Somatic Therapy Session · 2:00pm

Adventure Therapy · 11:00am
Lunch Break · 12:30pm

Sunrise Movement Session · 11:00am
Lunch Break · 12:30pm
Creative Expression Workshop · 2:00pm

Check-In · 9:00 – 9:30am
Closing Circle · 11:00am
Lunch Break · 12:30pm
Gratitude Ceremony · 2:00pm

Choose Your Retreat Length
Group Retreats run for 6, 10 or 14 days. Every length includes the same core: wellness practices, reflection, connection, and a plan for the return home. Longer stays add Explore & Unwind days, so there is more room to see, rest and take it all in.
-
A focused, immersive reset built around the core retreat: wellness practices, reflection, connection, and a plan for the return home. The example itinerary above shows how six days can unfold.
-
Everything in the core retreat, with Explore & Unwind days woven in between sessions, giving your group time to see more, rest more, and let the work settle.
-
The most spacious option. More Explore & Unwind days, and more time for your group's content package to settle and deepen before you head home.
-
On these days there are no fixed sessions. Choose from island culture and heritage, nature and adventure, spa and beach time, or a trip to another Caribbean destination, or simply rest. Your group selects the experiences that suit it, and we arrange them around your group. The cost of any experiences you select is built into your retreat package.
Examples of Content for Different Groups
Every group arrives with a different purpose. These are a few examples of how we shape the content, and we'll build something around yours.
-
For teams working through change, growth, or strain, and for leaders who need alignment as much as ideas. We focus on rebuilding trust, strengthening communication, and moving from a shared vision to clear priorities and a plan the team can carry home.
-
For people who give a great deal to others. We make space for rest, honest reflection on the weight of the work, and practices that rebuild capacity without losing your sense of purpose.
-
For families joining households and finding their rhythm. We build shared language, trust, and rituals, with time for each person to feel seen and no one to feel sidelined.
-
For friends celebrating a significant birthday or a new chapter. We combine rest and play with guided reflection on what you're leaving behind, what you're stepping into, and how to keep each other close.
-
For those who are always on for someone else. We focus on calming the stress response, rebuilding energy, and learning small, sustainable ways to care for yourself too.
Tell us about your group and we’ll tailor the retreat to fit.

Emerge Retreats for Women 40s
A retreat for women in the season after 40, when the children are growing up, moving out or just arriving, and you are ready to make space for yourself. Time away to rest, reflect and reconnect.
Come on your own to connect with yourself, or join the company of women who understand this season. You are also welcome to bring your own group, whether friends, a church ministry or a women’s circle, for a retreat arranged just for you.
Inspired by the book Becoming After 40: When Motherhood Makes Space for You to Emerge, by Akilah Bishop, which will be released soon. Dates for the first Emerge Retreat will be announced soon.
Reading the book first is a lovely way to prepare. If you are thinking of coming as a group, consider reading it together before you book. It makes a natural companion for book clubs, church groups, fitness groups, support groups, women’s circles and friends, so everyone arrives with shared language and ready to go deeper.
How It Works
-
Decide which path fits you: an Individual Retreat (Reclamation Intensive), curated entirely around your goals, or a Group Retreat, with a shared itinerary and a seasonal content package. Not sure which is the better fit? Start with a free 20-minute discovery call — no pressure, just a conversation to help you decide.
-
Sign up and pay all required fees to reserve your spot. If plans change, you can cancel up to 14 days before the retreat start to receive a 50% refund.
-
After booking, you’ll receive a Welcome Packet with everything you need to know. Individual Retreats get a personalized schedule built from your consultation; Group Retreats get the full day-by-day itinerary — plus packing recommendations and optional add-ons, like massage therapy or therapeutic listening, to consider.
-
Traveling in for your retreat? Accommodation can be arranged through our travel partner, RL Travel, with options to suit a range of budgets and experiences — flights can be coordinated too, if that’s helpful. Prefer to handle your own travel? That works just as well; your retreat is still curated around you either way. Based in Barbados, you’re welcome to join without needing accommodation arranged. Hoping to bring a retreat to your own island? By request, Akilah will travel to conduct it wherever you are. Not sure what fits best? Start with a free 20-minute discovery call and we’ll figure it out together.
-
Now all that’s left is to pack your bags and get ready. Whether you’re joining us in Barbados or welcoming Akilah to your own island, we can’t wait to begin this work with you.

What clients are saying:
I had the pleasure of participating in a six-day Reclamation Retreat in Barbados, and it was truly a meaningful experience. It gave me the opportunity to slow down, reconnect with myself, reflect, and make space for personal growth. I left feeling grateful for the experience and the intentional space Akilah created for us to do the work.
I would absolutely recommend this retreat to anyone who feels called to pour back into themselves, reconnect with who they are, and be intentional about their personal journey. It was a worthwhile experience, and I am glad I gave myself the opportunity to be a part of it.
